4th Listeners Feed the Kids

Donation protected
$5.35 feeds an abused child a warm meal, in an emergency shelter on Christmas day. Here's how:

When Child Protective Services rescues a child from an abusive home in North Texas; there's only one place they go. As it turns out, it's only 3 miles from the Dogma Debate studio.  They currently have 24 kids and 4 staff members who are scheduled to be there on Dec. 25th.

This fundraiser is to provide those kids and staff members warm meals on Christmas Day for both lunch and dinner. Including taxes and drinks, we're estimating $10.70 per person.  28 people x $10.70 x 2 meals = $600. That means even a donation of $5.35 pays for one of the meals!

David and I will be making the order through a local restaurant which will be open Dec. 25th, and then we'll deliver the food to the emergency shelter where the kids are living. Any funds we collect over the necessary amount will go to tip the restarurant staff that's helping with these massive orders,  and to purchase items for the shelter's needs list.

When David and I toured the facility before launching this campaign, we asked a lot of questions. They are completely secular, and allow kids to read, study, and research any religion or philosophy they choose, but do not endorse or force any particular worldview. We have an immense amount of respect for the professionalism of this organization.

Our original plan was to raise about $300 to feed them all lunch. And then we realized, they'd be having Christmas Dinner out of a pantry. So we moved it one step further and decided to go all in.

We need your help!
