Chrystal & Donalds Dream Wedding

Donation protected
Donald and I met in October of 2010. I began frequenting a pool hall that he played at regularly, he was so awesome at pool! I really never paid much attention all I knew was that he played at the "Good Guys" table. I always stayed at the "Rookie" table. One day he approached me and asked me if I was interested in learning how to play pool. I told him I was, and that I practice every time I come in. We met up quite a few times and he actually gave me lessons! I never even had a clue that he was interested in me lol. One day he said would you like to go to the movies with me. We have been joined at the hip ever since. He was told at a young age that he would never be able to have children but in May of 2011 I became pregnant. We have a beautiful son born in January of 2012 along with my 2 older boys. In March of 2013 we went on a cruise for my birthday. We were about 2 hours into our drive from Georgia to Florida when I began talking about how excited I was about the formal dinner night. That's when he told me he forgot my dress! I was devastated. I tried to make the best of things but it put a damper on the trip. We arrived back home on March 11. I was getting ready for bed (nightgown and all) when he came to me and said "Well this was supposed to happen on the cruise but you were so mad at me that I thought you would say no...." He dropped down on one knee and asked me if I would do him the honor of being his wife. He cried, I cried, and of course I accepted. We started making plans for the wedding immediately, which i planned on having in 2015. On August 20 2013 he went to Emory (after several visits to different doctors since April) and they gave us the most devastating news that we never thought could happen. The Dr. told us he has ALS and that he was dying. They said he has had it approximately 3 years already. We told him it couldnt be possible we had just had a baby, bought a house, started a family, started planning our wedding......this was not our life. It had to be a mistake. "Check again I told them, this isnt right. He has already lost the use of his right hand, he is left handed and it has now began affecting it. The doctors told us we should probably push the wedding up sooner. My dreams were crushed. We figured we are gonna pull through this, we can do this. We decided to try to have the wedding for late 2014. They think at the rate he is progressing he wont have use of his upper body/hands to put the ring on my finger. We are still determined and have faith that it will happen. We will make a lasting memory because I will never give up on him.
