Surgery Fund for Ray Garton
Donation protected
The biopsy of Ray Garton's left vocal cord revealed that he has squamous cell
carcinoma-in-situ, meaning it was found in its final stage just before becoming
invasive cancer. Ray's fans and friends pitched in and made it possible for him
to have the biopsy. Now he needs to go out of town to U.C. Davis to have the
precancerous tissue surgically removed before it reaches its next stage. This
has come at a time when Ray and his wife Dawn are living paycheck to paycheck,
and his insurance covers very little. This bill will come to at least $1,500,
not counting lodging for the overnight stay in Davis.
We know these are hard times for everyone. With everyone pitching in, we did this once before "” let's do it one more time. Ray's speaking voice will be different, but his writing voice will not, and we want him to get back to work as soon as possible.
