To Help Getting Off The Streets

Donation protected
Hello, my name is Michael Dupree. And for the last three years I've been trying to support myself and live on my own. I'm currently living in a friends car and trying to find a job which is hard because of my background. Please donate to my cause of trying to get off the streets, thank you and god bless.

I'll tell you a little about my story.
I was born in Lancaster, California on November 26th 1989.
I was raised by my grandparents for the first ten years of my life.
Both my parents were drug addicts. After ten years of living with my grandparents, me and two of my sisters were taken away from them by child protective services. Child protective services took us to a foster care center in Bakersfield where my sisters and I stayed for three weeks until an aunt of ours adopted us. We lived with this aunt for a year and a half. After a year and a half my aunt couldn't afford raising three children on top of raising her own two. My sisters and I then moved to Moorpark to live with our second aunt and her husband and two children. I was twelve when I arrived in Moorpark. My sisters and I lived together with our aunt and uncle until I was in 7th grade when one of my sisters made a mistake and hit my aunt. After she hit her, my aunt and uncle called child services and made her leave us. After I graduated I was too kicked out of the house for taking my aunts car without her permission. I was going to the community college in town at the time and continued attending by living with a friend and his family. Toward the end of my first year at Moorpark college, I had to move out of my friends house due to the housing market crash. I didn't really have anywhere to go but I called my grandfather and asked him if I could move in. He agreed to letting me stay for a while. I lived with him for about two years. After two years I moved back to moorpark and was staying with the same friend I stayed with before I moved to live with my grandfather. But this time he had his own apartment and wasn't leaving with his family. We partied all the time and I ended up on the streets because of it. That's when I started stealing to support myself. It was nearly impossible for me to find a job without having a place to sleep and keep myself clean.

It's a struggle living in my situation.
Sometimes in the past I took things for
granted.

Winter's coming up and its getting colder here in Moorpark where I live. It's also getting harder to find places to grab a bite to eat.

With this money I raise I'll be able to rent a room and support myself. It'll get me back on my feet and hopefully help me to go back to school and get a degree.

I'm getting back into intending church and I feel great.
I don't expect anything to change overnight. I'm going to keep my faith and sooner or later I'll receive exactly what I need to better myself.
