Jerzy's Fight with a Coma

"Mom, is Daddy broken?" - Asks the 4 year old boy looking at his father lying in a hospital bed.
This 4 year old little boy is named Christopher. Christopher has an older sister (8 year old named Karolina) and 2 older brothers (12 year old named Michael and an adult named Slawek).
"Daddy is not broken, but sleeping" corresponds the calm mother. Her faith is her most powerful weapon that gives her strength everyday with the situation and she says "you can't even think that Daddy might not wake up."
At June 29th 2015, the hospital in Canada held the bypass surgery and valve implantation. Everything went according to plan, without complications. Jerzy woke up after surgery on June 30th in the morning.
His wife Ewa and the siblings Michael, Karolina and Chris visited their dad at the recovery unit. The oldest son Slawek heard some good rumors, he eagerly looked forward to finishing his work and to quickly overcome the vast distances - nearly 400 km, separating him from his beloved father.
Jerzy signaled pain, normally after such an operation but he gave high fives to his kids when they were visiting him after the surgery and no one expected the impending danger.
On the same day around 19:00 there were complications, which occurred as a result of cardiac arrest and Jerzy fell into a coma.
Shock, fear, tears ... Big chaos ...
"What happened?" - Asked the wife in tears.
Unfortunately, answers were not received. Instead, she recieved an opinion and pressure from the Canadian doctors to disconnect her beloved husband of his life support machine.
"Do you want me to kill him?"- The wife asked surprised by the lack of the doctors empathy.
"No way! We will fight!" - The wife said.
Then they started brainstorming a quick arrival of Jerzy's brother from Poland. Finally, they found a contact to the eminent neurosurgeon - Professor Jan Talar from Poland, who is waking people up from comas. He did it for over 40 years and is still doing it.
"There is no brain death, almost every patient in a coma, you can wake up, stimulating him in a special way" - heard the wife. She was totally surprised by the Polish professor's opinion.
"I'll help you" - these words were like warm plush blanket wrapping her aching heart.
According to the recommendations of Professor Jan Talar, the wife and Jerzy's brother - Andrew is playing guard at the hospital bed using neurophysiotherapy they were taught by the Professor Jan Talar. After the first few days, they observed the eyelid opening, the movement of the toes and the reaction of pain. The next days brought the improvement and stabilization in the overall health and extended periods of spontaneous breathing - first half hour, two hours the next day, 8 hours on the third day... the doctors in the hospital are shocked by the fast improvements.
"Jerzy has to breathe independently, when that happens, he has to be at my clinic. I have one vacancy on the 30th of August, until then , work in accordance with my instructions for the patient and everything will be fine "- ensures Professor Jan Talar.
Medical transportation from Canada to Poland costs about $100,000 plus the neurophysical rehabilitation, consultations, medications etc.
