Volunteering with Children in Thailand

Hi everyone!

I am soon heading off on a crazy adventure to teach Biology to high school students in Nakhon Phanom, Thailand for 5 months! In addition to teaching, I am looking into volunteering with various disability organizations, schools, and centers around Thailand during and after the semester is over. I am specifically looking at spending time volunteering at a few schools for children with Autism and Cerebral Palsy. As a Therapeutic Recreation Specialist, I have always been passionate about children with disabilities and am very interested in comparing and contrasting the services people with disabilities receive in Thailand versus the United States. While I will be volunteering my time, I will need to pay for my transportation around the country and for some programs, will need to pay for accommodations. Even if i can raise $100 dollars to help cover my travel/accommodation costs while I volunteer it would be much appreciated. Thank you all for your support! :)
