Please help me present my play "The Mirror”!!
This has been a year of challenges, determination and big opportunities for myself and this play, The Mirror.
For many years creative writing has been one of my passions along with dancing. Just a year ago, during an intensive Playwright workshop "The Mirror" was born. It is an strong story about a young woman and her tragic reality that speaks about truth, acceptance of our actions and the encounter with one's true spirit.
The Mirror premiered with great success in the Young Scene Theater festival in Cuba because of the support of many friends and family members who contributed to this project.
We have been blessed with a special opportunity to participate at the VII International Theater Festival in Dominican Republic during the month of October!!
Since we haven’t reach our set goal yet, we’re asking for donations to fulfill it and bring the play to this festival.
Why is it important?
There is a powerful yet delicate message in The Mirror and we discover it thru the eyes of a woman who speaks with her subconscious. The play explores topics such as: solitude, abortion, abandonment, how the subconscious can play in our favor or against us. Who or what is our mirror? and most of all self-awareness and self-love. Who do we turn to when painful situations break thru our lives and who is there to uplift our spirits.
Your donations will help cover for the cost of airfare, visa, transportation and other performance related expenses. No donation is too little. Please support us with anything you can $5, $10, $50 or more. All of your donations are greatly appreciated! It has been a beautiful journey since "The Mirror" took life. Now we are just wishing for the universe to provide us the means to share this great story in other countries.
