Seeking Justice for Israel Hernandez

On August 6, 2013 Israel "Reefa" Hernandez, an artist, a friend, dreamer and son was fatally killed after being tased in the Heart by Miami police officer Jorge Mercado. On October 6th, two months after Israel's untimely death we will march and demand #JusticeforReefa. We will continue to fight until the City of Miami Beach, the Miami Beach Police Department and Officer Jorge Mercado answer for Israel's needless death. It is our obligation to carry on Israel's Dream to "Change the World Through Art" and to ensure that a situation like Israel's never happens again.
We are asking for donations to help support the family finance the increasingly powerful movement that has manifested in the aftermath of this unfortunate tragedy. As stated before on October 6th 2013, two months after the unjust murder of Israel there will be a Mass Mobilization/March on Miami's South Beach to urge the that there be #JusticeforReefa. We will demand that the city of Miami arrest Officer Jorge Mercado and END POLICE BRUTALITY!

The family of Israel has personally funded many actions and meetings but have become increasingly strained as more knowledge of this issue has spread. It takes a dedicated group of individuals to collectively create the world we wish to see, each donation will go towards the family and ultimately back into this movement. We thank each and every person who supports and stands in solidarity with us. We look forward to seeing you October 6th.
