Multi-purpose center for a Filipino village

I am raising money to help build a multi-purpose building for the Fiat Gawad Kalinga (GK) Village located in Silay City, province of Negros Occidental in the Philippines. The Fiat GK Village is a community of 33 poor families living on land donated by the church. Originally squatters with meager incomes, these families now own their houses through the help of Gawad Kalinga, generous donors, the local church, and through their own \'sweat equity\'. From almost nothing, they have come together to form a close-knit community, helping one another and working for the future of their families and the community as a whole.
The multi-purpose building will be a tremendous boost to their efforts to create a livelihood for members of the community. It will house a display room and store front for the local products they produce, as well as a center for meetings and learning facilities for young children.
The money collected will go towards the purchase of building materials only - estimated to be 350,000 pesos. Construction work will be done by the villagers themselves under the supervision of volunteer architects and engineers.
For this project, I will travel to the Philippines - from Austria - at my own expense to join a team of volunteers and friends who will help the villagers construct this multi-purpose building. We will document the progress of the work through photos and videos and will be uploading these on a dedicated web site.
The names of supporters and donors will also be posted on this web site, and will be engraved in a plaque that will hang at the entrance of the multi-purpose center. Supporters can also help by joining the construction team (if you are near the location or would be willing to travel there).
