Help A blind woman see for herself

My name is Mere, I am completely blind.  I lost my eyesight due to a head injury sustained in the Northridge, CA quake of 1994.   I would love to be able to pick up a book and read it on my own.  Or the privilege to go into the market and pick out my own products instead of waiting for a personal shopper to pick for me. It's frustrating when I get home and I don't have the product I wanted. It would be amazing to be able to read any menu and pick what I want and not have to rely on my friends to read for me.   

To be able to recognize my friends faces without having to sift through the voice index in my head until I recognize the person I want to talk to.  This is a fantastic opportunity for me to become more independent in my life.  I would be able to know what businesses were around me with this wonderful device.

While the OrCam $3,500 I am asking for an additional $280.00 to cover the cost of the 8% fee the GoFundMe page will charge for each donation.
