Volunteering in Peru

Hi everyone, thank you so much for visiting my page. I am seeking support from family and friends for my upcoming service trip to Cusco Peru and the Floating Islands on Lake Titicaca. I will be volunteering for 2 weeks in April 2014. My first assignment will be in a medical clinic, fully staffed by volunteers, assisting physicians with vital signs, administrative tasks and phlebotomy. I will also volunteer at the Juan Pablo II Orphanage. The children residing here are "social orphans," meaning their biological families are unable or unwilling to provide for them. Lastly, I will participate in a home stay and help with maintenance and repair to homes and reed boats on the Floating Islands. The money raised will help partially cover travelling costs, but is primarily supporting the volunteer placement locations first hand.
