Project Hohoemi - Family Portraits
Donation protected
Project Hohoemi is a personal project involving six photographers stationed around Japan. We have planned a volunteer trip to Ishinomaki to photograph local families, who lost their photos in the Tohoku earthquake and tsunami of 2011, as well as missionary families who left behind their comfortable lives to help the less fortunate. Here is a short video about Ishinomaki. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UjWFhrRJG8o&list=TLhAMuGaABza4
While we are there, we will be sponsored by and working with two great organizations and their generous members: The Nozomi Project and Be One. If you'd like to learn more about them, here are a few videos. The Nozomi Project: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lqcKje6do3Iand Be One: http://vimeo.com/41682334
The travel costs will all be covered by the photographers but we are asking for donations to help cover prints for each family. In just one weekend we are striving to give memories to at least 70 families. Every little bit counts!
Thank you,
Gavin, Lina, Megan, Renee, Sarah, & Suzanne
