Male High Band Carnegie Trip

Hi, my name is Emily Wilding Puckett. I am the mother of William Puckett who is a member of the Louisville Male High school band.  Will plays the tenor saxophone.   Will has learned so much through this spectacular band program. Growing not only as a better musician but also an individual.  Will along with the rest of this dedicated group of students  and staff spend their summer through late fall with the marching band, many hours after school, on weekends all while meeting everyday during school for band class.  Louisville Male High Band is a year round extremely busy program. Male High Band provides unbelievable  opportunities for each band student;  with individual section teachers, countless concerts,  jubilee, and many other band events. These students spend countless hours becoming the best musicians they can be.  Our band students, families and staff all realize how privileged they are to  be apart of this fanastistic program.  

Each band student fudraises to help keep their regular band fees lower,  however band is still is expensive. Being apart of a school band cost lots of money.  Instruments, music,  leaders,   and events  aren't cheap.  These students and families work hard to be apart of the LMHS Band.  Everyone works hardto insure that these students have endless options to grow their talent as musicians.

The purpose of this gofundme  account is,  the Louisville Male High Band students  have ben asked to perform at Carnegie Hall!  They were chosen to perform March 24-28, 2018 in New York City at Carnegie Hall!  The one and only, CARNEGIE HALL! This is truly a "once in a lifetime" opportunity for these students.  There are thousands of famous,  lifetime musicians that have dreamed of playing at Carnegie Hall and will never have the chance to experience playing in Carnegie Hall.  However, our LMHS Band students have this  unbelievable opportunity! Not only to perform but participate in clinics with festival adjudicators. 

This is why I'm asking  for your help to send this very deserving group of  students in the LMHS Band.  All students have to pay out of pocket for this experience .  Students still have their regular yearly band fees along with this New York trip to perform  at Carnegie Hall.  The chance to perform and learn from some of the most prestigious musicians is going to cost each student around $2,000.  These students need monetary help getting there.  Would you consider a donation; a gift to these students?  Please donate  any amount to help this deserving group of young, enthusiastic musicians.  

Without your help many of these students will not be able to go.  Please help me in helping these students!
