Lil Bravest Sports Jersey Challenge

Tax deductible
I am probably a fan of sports jerseys more than I am of sports. I've always loved them. Jerseys are especially important to kids, as it's their chance to pretend to be their favorite player. We've seen many players and jerseys come and go over the years.

We've seen the good, as Devon Still jerseys raised over a million dollars to fight pediatric cancer, and we've seen the bad. We've seen numerous draft picks come and go and numerous players get traded. There's just too many to think of over the years. So what I would like to do is begin the "Sports Jersey Challenge." I challenge you to simply post an interesting picture or video of yourself either presently or from the past when you were wearing a sports jersey. That's it. No bucket required (unless you want to use one).

Let's see what jerseys from the past we can dig up. For those who are camera shy, you can just post a photo of the jersey you want to share.

I would like everyone who participates to contribute the amount of the number on the jersey to Lil' Bravest. "Lil’ Bravest Inc. was founded to improve the quality of life for children who are hospitalized or being treated for childhood diseases. The goal is to put a smile on the faces of kids who are going through a very difficult time. These kids are the true heroes and the funds raised go directly to improving their quality of life.” This charity was founded in 2010 and was created to honor John Sullivan. "John was a 27 year veteran of Ladder 34 and died on Christmas Eve, 2010 of cancer as a result of his rescue and recovery efforts following September 11th."

John Sullivan was also my little league coach and the man who taught me how to play baseball. That happens to also be the first jersey I ever owned. Let's start something good and spread it.

To clarify the rules of this challenge:
1) Once challenged, post a picture or video of yourself wearing a sports jersey of your choice.
2) Then go to http://www.gofundme.com/462too and donate the amount of the number on your jersey (or another amount if you're a kevin love fan).
3) Copy and paste this link and challenge 10 more people (or more).
*Please do not harass people to do this. Just invite/challenge people to do it. Not everyone will be able to afford to donate or will believe in the cause. But hopefully a lot will.
4) Go to https://www.facebook.com/sportsjerseychallenge and share your picture/video on the wall.
