I am going to Costa Rica this year with a group called People To People. People To People was created by the President Dwight Eisenhower. It gives students a chance to see the world and connect with other cultures and promote peace. It also gives students a chance to learn a different culture and teach ours as well.
I went on a trip in 2011 to 6 countries: Belgium, France, England, Wales, Ireland, and Netherlands. It was so amazing and gave me an outlook in what I want to do when I grow up. Which is traveling around and helping others less fortunate than I.
On the Costa Rica trip I will be helping out at a orphanage, plant trees for the rainforest, and helping at the local school. I've always wanted to go over seas and help those in need. And since I was in 2nd grade I've always wanted to go to the rainforest. The cost of the trip will be about 5,000, but its totally worth it. I would be so grateful with any donation. Thank you for your time.
