The Free State Brass Band is a brand new British-style ensemble composed of brass musicians and percussionists. Based in Lawrence, Kansas, the band is made up of professional and community-based musicians, including students and professors from The University of Kansas. The band is led by Professor Scott Watson.
The band is set to perform its very first concert on January 28, 2014 at Plymouth Congregational Church in Lawrence. The band needs your help to take care of start-up costs, including hall and utility rental. With your contribution, your name will appear in our concert program, as well as on our website (coming soon).
This is only the beginning to what is shaping up to be an unbelievable journey.
