Vinny is an extremely sweet stray kitty who needs an operation I simply can't afford. I have paid for one visit to the vet so he is in okay shape at the moment, but without an operation to fix the hematoma, he will eventually lose his ear. Unlike his namesake, Vincent Van Gogh, Vinny would like to keep his ear. If by some miracle I raise more money than his surgery will cost, the extra will go directly to the VCA Animal Hospital in Lafayette IN, to fund medical care for stray cats. I have donated $100 and I still need $440. I am committed to seeing this through with Vinny, and finding him a loving home once I can get him in adoptable shape. Murphy is home and resting comfortably. The vet agreed to do everything he needed for the amount we raised, including all his vaccinations, neutering, teeth cleaning and even micro-chipping him. The sad news is that he tested as FIV positive, but that didn't stop his new mom from adopting him as a strictly inside kitty. He wouldn't have lasted too long out on the streets, so you didn't just save his ear, you saved his life, and I can't thank you enough. Pics are on my FB page which is public, if anyone would like to see.

Update! Vinny has a home!! His new name is Murphy and he'll be an inside kitty now - he gets into way too many fights otherwise. He is scheduled for surgery this coming Tuesday and I will post pics of his ear after it heals. I can't thank all of you enough for caring enough to donate!

Thank you so much everybody! I'm really touched by how generous everybody has been. Going to call the vet on Monday and see if they'll do the operation for whatever I've raised by then. Will post pics as soon as his ear is fixed.
