Thank you to EVERYONE who donated, supported, prayed for, made meals and loved the Ficks family since the loss of sweet Kelsey. I will be closing the donation fund this week but please know that the Ficks have been able to read each and every message that was sent to them. I had no idea when I set this up the amazing response it would generate...a beautiful thing to experience humanity come together over one family, and it was a blessing in my own life to watch all the love.
Love to all, Megan Vennemeyer
"Words cannot express,"- how often have we heard this phrase? Sometimes there is not anything more true. This, for us, is that time.
Words cannot express the depth of our grief at losing our beautiful baby girl. For the past two years, she has been the light of our lives through a very dark, difficult time.
Words cannont express the joy her smile, her laugh brought to all who knew her, to all who saw her.
Now words cannot express the deep gratitude our family owes to all who have been there for us to try to help us through this.
To all who contributed in any way to try to help ease our pain, all we can say is a truly heartfelt thank you. If you knew us, you can see how you have helped us. If you are one of the anonymous givers who were moved by what you have learned of our story, we hope you will be rewarded for your acts of care and giving.
May God bless all of you, and protect those you love. Please keep us in your prayers.
I've been asked by many people if it is too late to donate...so I just wanted to post that absolutely you still can. For any of you in Cincinnati, my sister told me there is also an online meal support that you can contribute to...thanks again for everyone's love and generosity toward the Ficks family.
I thought I just needed to send a note...The Ficks have so many great friends and family who have wanted to verify the validity of this donation fund, which means they have a lot of people watching out for them, which is fantastic. Shana is a dear friend of my sister Christa Bitzer. As a mother of three, when Christa explained to me the events I was heartbroken for the Ficks family and wanted to do something. I was familiar with the GoFundMe site and had thought I could try and raise donations from my friends and family here in Columbus to help. I had no idea it would get this big. Shana was asked permission to create the site and I am the host coordinating it. Thanks again to all who have donated.
I can't believe how many donations are still flooding in, every time I check I get a huge smile. We have almost doubled the third goal set. Absolutely Amazing. Please continue to pray for the Ficks family and keep them in your thoughts.
August 23rd is coming to a close and I have watched this donation fund soar up and up and up all day. The first goal set was $1500, the second $3000 and the third $5000....the highest goal set has been blown out of the water. Amazing, just Amazing! Many thanks again to everyone who has contributed to the Ficks family donation fund.
I am speechless with the amount of support that has flooded in for the Ficks family...the number of people who are giving without even knowing the family...thank you thank you to all of you and even if you can't give please pray for this family and continue to keep them in your hearts.
I woke up this morning and first thing I checked the donation balance, what an amazing surprise! Everyone's generosity is staggering, I hope to reach the overall goal and then some...thank you for showing your support to the Ficks family!
Even though I'm just the middleman, I am so overjoyed by everyone's generosity thus far, amazing what can be done if everyone just contributes a little...anything can help ease the financial difficulty of this tragic situation. Thank you to all who have donated to this worthy cause!
All proceeds from this donation fund will be given to the Kelsey Ficks family who suffered a devastating loss when their 22 month old baby girl passed away after a tragic accident at home. Please consider donating to help the family cover all expenses involved. Kelsey leaves behind her Mother, Shana, who is a recent breast cancer survivor and who battled the disease while pregnant with Kelsey. Kelsey also has a Father, Dave, a 5 year old sister, Taylor, and two older sisters Kayla and Savannah.
