Cosplay for Comic Con

I should have just given in and tried this earlier but I really got myself in a bind and this is pretty much my last ditch effort. I was depending on commissions and side jobs that went horribly wrong or took too long or never happened and kept really hoping I'd get a steady job, but New York Comic Con is only about a month away and I have next to nothing to show for my efforts up to this point.
I was able to get together the money to cover a place to stay, my ticket in and enough to get by food-wise but it didn't leave anything left for Cosplay. My friends are going as a group doing a Playstation Heroes thing. (Nathan Drake, Dante (DMC), Cole (Infamous) Jak, Lara Croft and Joker (Mass Effect) ) I was intensely excited to get to be the new 2013 version of Lara. I researched the HELL out of EVERYTHING I'd need. I got a prop-making friend to cut me some AMAZING deals on the props but even with all that the combined cost is somewhere around $200 and without a job or help that's not really doable. (not to mention the friend doing the prop commissions is in serious need of money as he may be homeless soon if something doesn't change)
Basically, any money people donate here will go towards the pieces I need. If I don't reach the goal I'll take what money I DO get and get what pieces I CAN. So if I even make $20 I'll be able to get the cheapest piece. If I somehow miraculously go OVER (which I'm not sure is even a thing here? I'll have to check) all proceeds will go to my NEXT costume (or possibly upgrading an old one to decent not-incredibly-broke standards) If people aren't keen on giving something for nothing I CAN and AM taking art commissions, but understand I may not have time to finish them in a timely manner :( (you can message me on facebook, at my art tumblr http://artofthearmadillo.tumblr.com/ or...here if there's a messaging system? Thank you to anyone even looking at this, literally every little bit helps more than you can imagine. (one of those things here if 20 people just donate a buck that's enough for one piece! kind of things) Even just passing this on to friends who might want to help out a broke cosplayer not be the only one of her friends in civvies at a major con. and then I'll be able to wear this to all sorts of events and keep making it even better with the makeup and...yes I will stop talking now. Thank you again so much. I really mean that
