Service Dog for Veteran with Parkinsons

I do not want to sit home and let combat PTSD and Parkinson's disease keep me from being active. I have been accepted as a candidate to receive a dog who will be taught how to assist me with daily activities. We would be a team. In order to proceed with the process, I need to commit to part of the money it costs to raise these smart animals. I am no longer able to use my fine motor skills to do mechanic work or welding, both of which I was considered very good at in the past. The dog would remind me to take my medications, assist me with my balance and keep me from feeling alone when I have nightmares. Any help toward making this possible would be appreciated. I am not used to asking for things.
