Hi, most of you will know me as Felis, but some will know me by my real name, Sarah. I've been suffering with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome with functional neurological symptoms since I was 7. Since then, and as I got older, my symptoms have gotten progressively worse, with no real help from the NHS, government, my local council, or my family. I've come to realize that living at home with my mum is a toxic environment. I'm never going to get better here. Proof of this is that I can handle my symptoms so much better when I'm away (infrequent trips to see friends in a different town).
I've been talking to a few friends who have advised me to stop being so selfless and focus on myself to start getting better, and to do that, I have to move out. The problem is, me and my partner are on job seekers. We're struggling to live as it is and the government refuse to give me the benefits I'm rightly entitled to. So, I'm here to ask for your help, on a website where I can't refuse it.
We're hoping to move from Scunthorpe (N.Lincs) to Sheffield (S.Yorks) as soon as possible. Away from my family and closer to friends who are able to motivate me. I've been looking at flats in Sheffield and I've found loads. All I need is money for the deposit and the moving costs (we might live with my mum, but we have been collecting bits and pieces over the past year for when we finally do move out).
