Attorney Fees to Retain Book Copyrights

Donation protected
I'm trying to raise money for a dear friend Beverly Winters to provide her with funds, strength and hope.

Beverly Winters, a member of the community and 35 year long LGBT+ advocate, needs your support.

She recently completed co-writing a book series targeting the Bisexual Teen and Tween populations, as well as their parents. They are the first books to focus solely on bisexual orientation. Her business partner and co-writer, has (allegedly) stolen her copyrights just days after sending the final copy of the final book for final edits; and refuses to pay for the two years she spent writing the series. The original agreement and contract stated a percentage of profits.

Though the first book placed in the top ten finalists of The San Francisco Writer's Conference Contest, (Youth category) giving her credit and authorship rights; her business partner is pulling all rights and compensation out from under her. May be seen here >> http://sfwriters.org/indie-publishing-contest-finalists/

Due to be sold on Amazon, Kindle Nook, ebooks, other online venues, and Barnes & Nobles bookstores, the project has come to a halt. "It was a labor of love for me," she says. Something for the community; a legacy to leave behind. My book business partner unfortunately, "appears to be only interested in money and not integrity in the wake of an emerging wave of teenage bisexuals across mainstream America. She's a straight woman who desperately needed the voice and authenticity of a LGBT person to co-author the books" she says of her business partner. The books were going to be released for sale sometime in June, (Pride Month) but haven't been, pending litigation.

Please give what you can, no contribution is too small or too large.

Please join me in sending out the message that we are behind Beverly, and will not allow her to be exploited or shafted at the end of a two year investment. She has retained Andrew Chu, an LGBT+ attorney, to represent her interests.

The importance of the books and Beverly's contribution is a cause worth our attention.

Thank you for your thoughtful consideration and contribution.
