We are 99% of the way to achieving our fundraising goal of $20,000!

A huge thank you to all the fabulous people that made this possible! Your generous contributions have helped support Scott and Manon in being with Cypress during this time and helped provide Cypress with some extra comforts and opportunities. Cypress is doing well and is very energized by all the people on his side. His parents are overwhelmed by all the love and kindness. Thank you so very much!

Our dearest Cypress is at the Children's hospital in Vancouver. He has been diagnosed with cancer in his kidney. Cypress will be staying at the hospital for the next months. His family needs to be there with him. His momma, Manon, has had to quit her job, so she can be by his side during the long road of chemotherapy, surgery and radiation. His daddy, Scott, is a student completing his masters degree. They don't have much money and will have lots of additional expenses over the next while living in Vancouver. We are praying hard for them and want the family to be able to focus on helping Cypress and loving him rather than stressing about money. Please help by offering a donation.

Another month at home and Cypress continues to improve day by day. Although the chemo treatments seem to have a cumulative effect through which he gradually becomes more tired, his desire to go to school and play sports remains very strong. He received tests which indicate continued improvement in his body's healing and we go back to Vancouver regularly to check in with the good docs over there. We will have chemo treatment through January and then will possibly be done. With love: Scott, Manon, Cypress, Jaden and Kobe.

But the hardest part is behind us.. We fell blessed. Ca fait vraiment du bien d'etre de retour avec les amis et la famille xxx Aujourd'hui Cypress est alle a l'ecole pour l'apres- midi pour aller revoir tous ses amis. There was a "Walk for Cypress" ~ walk for cancer happening.. the whole school from kinder to highschool was out cheering and hugging Cypress.. Thank you everyone for all your help and support.. this journey has been life-changing for many of us, but has thought us the meaning of community, love and care... xxx

Cypress had his surgery today.. He was amazingly brave !!! Fasted until 2pm, then in the operation room until almost 8pm.. Maman a trouve la journee tres longue.. They removed the tumor completely, along with the right kidney and adrenal gland. Cypress woke up briefly feeling some pain in his tummy and throat... the doctors, surgeons and nurses were all so helpful ... BC Children's hospital is really a great place to be treated.. we feel blessed and hope for aquick recovery for Cypress.. Je vous remercie tous les amis et la famille pour votre soutien... un jour a la fois... et cette nuit je souhaite que tous les anges de guerision viennent dormir avec coco.. xxx

August 8: Cypress is responding very well to treatment and has lots of energy. The oncology doctors have suggested that we can get a couple of weeks of out-patient treatment prior to his surgery. We will therefore be discharged tomorrow. Please hold onto any cards or packages that you might have been sending. We'll find out soon where we are going to be living for the next 2 weeks.
