Help Kelsey Live!

Donation protected
Hi! My name is Kelsey Marshall and I'm a recent college graduate. The last year I have applied and been rejected from grad school, effectively foiling my plans to move my life and career to New York City. I am a published writer currently working on a novel. I am trying desperately to find a job so I can complete my move but employment, as you probably know, is hard to come by. While time is slipping away, I am left without my best friends in the city and an income to support myself. I have crowd-sourced successfully before and I hope to do so again! I have set my goal at $1,000 in hopes of exceeding this goal.

If you support the arts, feel pity on an unemployed writer! Below you can read samples of my short fiction and poetry including "Desserts," published in the 2013 edition of College of Charleston's Miscellany Literary Magazine. I am extremely dedicated and hard working-- any money donated here will not go unnoticed or to waste.

My writing is a form of transgressional performance literary art, in that my life and experiences aim to be a blank canvas in which to enact art, whether by me or through me. Art is the understanding and transcribing of the universe in all its parts. It is the interpretation of the human experience.
