Send Felicia to Transgender Family Camp

Hi Family, Friends & Others :)

As some of you know my 13 year old has always been more of a girl than a boy...within the last year we have had many discusssions & Frankie is now living full time as Felicia. I am SO PROUD of my DAUGHTER...just a few weeks before the end of 7th grade she decided to present at school as Felicia, in full girl mode, as she had been doing at home for several months. Middle school is hard enough without a change as big as this, we are blessed to have MANY friends & family supporting us emotionally through this time & I can say I did a great job raising my children with good values, as she doesn't have a care about what others may think of her & her HYPER masculine 11 year old brother who fights with her like cat & dog, is her BIGGEST ally. One of the toughest things for me is NOT knowing anyone in a similar situation...so I do my research online & found a camp just for trans youth. We missed the actual camp sessions for this year, but there is a long weekend family camp in November we would love to attend, as it is in Mass, not too far from home, but we just don't have the $ for the registration fees. This is where we are asking for your help...the total cost for 4 of us to attend will be $870.00. If you can spare $1, $5 or ANY amount it will get us that much closer. Please consider helping us out?

Help us get to Aranu'tiq Family Camp! This camp program is for transgender and gender-variant children ages 6 through 16 and their families. The long weekend will be a mix of structured family games, free time with optional planned activities, parent/adult groups facilitated by professionals, Q&A with parents and with teen campers, fun activities specifically for siblings as well as for our trans/gender-variant kids (arts & crafts, games, sports in the gymnasium, drama, and more), and nighttime "hang out time" for ages 14-16 (one space for trans/gender-variant attendees and one for siblings). We will have meals all together in the dining room.



We really would get SO MUCH out of this camp, I know the family & friends we have can help us get there. I wouldn't ask if it was not such an important step in our journey with Felicia. Thanks for reading :) xoxox Dawn & Felicia
