Aqua Study for High School Photographers

I have been shooting underwater photography for five summers in Southern Indiana, and I would love to share my experiences with a hands-on day at our public pool with the high school photography class. I see this as a productive way for the students to remain active with their skills outside of the school year, and with the help of other professional friends, we will be able to focus on individualized or small group instruction. I make it a point to visit the high school art department, and while I was there this past spring, I collected a list of email addresses from interested students that filled the front and back of a notebook page. The interest is there, I just can't cover this expense out of pocket.

To rent the public pool (which is my preference over a private location for numerous safety reasons) is $200, and to purchase a simple universal underwater casing bag from Amazon is about $75, not including shipping and handling. Three bags will really help us make sure each student can have a turn shooting.

We want no money for this, and it will be free to the high schoolers that attend. We just really REALLY want to do this for them! If we get this opportunity, I will do my best to bring the student's best work from the day to my blog or linked from my blog so that anyone wanting to follow up with this project can see what we accomplished.
