Scoreboards for 3B Baseball

For at least the past 12 years, the scoreboards at White Park have been lifeless.  Back in the history of 3B Baseball, these scoreboards were working and displayed the scores and status of each game for everyone in the park to see.  There used to be people who sat in the room above the concession stand to operate the scoreboards during the games.  For some reason, this practice stopped, and the scoreboards were neglected.


Today, the technology has really changed.  Now, there are wireless controllers that work with our existing scoreboards.  With the new controllers, the scorekeepers sitting in the dugouts can operate the scoreboards quickly and easily.


The current 3B Board of Directors would really like to see the scoreboards operating again.  We’ve contacted the original vendors of the scoreboards, and we’ve received a quote to refurbish the scoreboards, and purchase wireless controllers.  The cost basically works out to about $1,500 for each scoreboard.  This sounds like a lot of money, but is much cheaper than buying all new scoreboards.  New scoreboards the same size and features that we currently have are at least $5,000 each.  Our goal is to raise $4,500, so that we can get all 3 scoreboards working again.

 

3B Baseball is a community based non-profit youth baseball league.  Over 800 families participate in the league, and enjoy coming to White Park to watch the games.  Unfortunately, it is currently difficult to know the score or the count or anything else without constantly asking the scorekeepers or coaches.  We want to make it easy for our fans to follow the game, and cheer their team on.

 

We are asking for donations to help get our scoreboards working again.  Any size donation would be greatly appreciated.
