My name is Jason, my household is small, we have had to grow the hard way on our own without much support of our parents. We need money for just at least food and rent to keep going.
I suffer from mild to sever chronic depression. It's consumed me all my life. There are few things that keep me going, and keep me sane. Those are my fiance, my dog, and our lives together.
Things were going so well, till I had a deep episode of depression. I lost my job, and I failed my returning year back in college. Because of that, I was expelled from college, and now no longer receive my college benefits (See: Loans for living expenses, books, and tuition).
I recently got a job, but it is only part time (See: one shift a week), working barely minimum wage. And rent is due the first of the month, plus along with credit card bills, medical insurance, cable and electrical.
Because I am no longer a student, I can no longer be eligible for food stamps. We were up for renewal this month. I go in Monday, July 7th to see what I can do- but I highly doubt we can get it back. That hurts, and takes over $100 away form myself, and my fiance for our food needs. Food needs, mind you, that we already run on a tight budget to make work.
My rent is due next month at the being of the week in August, and my bank account is barely ready. There is no food in my fridge or pantry, and we're almost out of dog kibble. I do not want to see my household go hungry because of my failings as a human.
What does our budget look like? Where are your dollars going?
Rent- 608
Eletrical- $100
Medical Insurance- $200
Credit Cards- $308
Food- $240
Gas- $100
Dog + Cat Expenses- $80
Any amount helps at this point to help me get by, help my family, and until I can get thing settled with my college to readmit me with the help of my therapist, or find a better paying job.
I have little to give back realistically speaking at this moment in time- thus why on a site such as this. However, if I do manage to calculate things right with my budgets- I will support back to my community who has supported me. Even if small amounts- I will try. As it is the right thing to do to give thanks.
Anyone who donates will get art, of course. I merely put in the dollar value amounts as examples.
