Just a final note of THANKS to all of you for helping Brenna through this difficult time. Brenna is now back at college with a graduation date of May 23rd. She took her on line classes and held a part time job through out her chemo treatments while she was home. Her last treatment was December 19th and cancer was 100% gone. She goes for another scan April 4th then every 6 months for 5 years to confirm all is well. She is now grateful to have her life back to that of a 22 year old girl. She is looking forward to graduating and pursing her dreams and adventures. I have attached a picture of Brenna's scan the before and after. Just amazing. I hope through Brenna's monthly journals she was able to help at least on person go through this "fear of the unknown" process with a little more piece of mind. Brenna you have been truly blessed by your friends, family and faith. Always keep them close to your heart. God, Thank you for answering our prayers.
LAST CHEMO !!!!!
right is before, left is after! 100% GONE
THIS SAYS IT ALL! Thank all of you

NP Emily and I treatment #11
From the bottom of my heart I have a very special thank you to all of you supporters of Studio Hair Design that participated in Brenna's Wish, especially Deb T, Jay B, Gail F-S and Matrix Chairs of change. You have funded Brenna to get her new hair, and special hair accessories that insurance doesn't cover.. You paid for her to take online classes while she is being treated so she would not miss out on graduating as a senior with the fellow students from Pace University. Finally some medical treatment will not be covered so this fund will help Brenna pay for those important future testing not covered by her insurance.
I am leaving the fund open until the end of December with hopes Brenna's treatment will be complete. She has had a few set backs with only 2 treatments to go but our hopes are still to be complete before the New Year. Please take a look and see her progress and see the videos she has shared in hopes of helping other people with this dreaded disease.
I am truly grateful and I am amazed of all the love and support and prayers from all of you.
Just another update.. Treatment #9 has been completed! Brenna is 100% cancer free!! She had to have a PICC line put into her arm (chose this over a port) as her veins were giving out. She is feeling and doing great, her hair is thinning however it is still there and bearable so we are keeping it as long as possible. The support and concern of family and friends is still so strong, when I say this wouldn't have been possible without that support, I truly mean it. You are all amazing and I thank you all each and every day.

making the best of it :)
We have now completed #7. All is still going well. The PET scan came back 99.9% cancer free!!! Brenna still has her hair however it is thinning out quite a bit but it is still there, has had no mouth sores or sickness. She is a true inspiration.
We have come to the point in treatment however that the veins are not doing as well as they would like so Brenna has to choose to have a port or a pick both have there positives and negatives. The port will leave a scare in the collar bone area, and the pick can get infected easier, can't get wet and need to be flushed and changed from home, however it is place under the arm area with a minimal scaring. Brenna has made great decisions this far with her treatment and I am sure she will make the right one for her this time.
Just want to thank all the family and friend for their prayers and support. We are half way done another PET scan after the 8th treatment hoping it will read just as well if not 100%.
The battle will always be there, but she will always fight it and win!
Just an update on Brenna as she approaches treatment #5. She has pulled through each treatment with ease. A bit tired but no nausea or hair loss yet, We keep our fingers crossed every day she stays on that road :). She is a strong and amazing girl that we should all look to as a great role model for others going through this.
Brenna will be taking on line classes for the fall semester so she will be able to graduate with her class in the spring. She has a great positive attitude that not only helps her, but all those around her.
She has an appointment August 30th for a PET Scan to see how the cancer is reacting to the chemo, the Dr. has assured us that at least half is gone. Her last chemo day is December 12th. This could be the best Christmas gift ever.
I just want to THANK YOU ALL!! for support and prayers I believe this is a huge part of her recovery and upbeat spirit.
Brenna's wishes are coming true. We are now working on egg retrieval costs after the chemo is complete, so if chemo should ever be needed again the eggs can be stored for future use.We are also working on school costs to help relieve some of the added pressure in the recovery process.
Agan THANK YOU again, you have all made a VERY difficult situation easier to bare for Brenna and her family.
Just an update on Brenna.. She had her second chemo treatment on the 25th and has done very well. No major side effects. A little nauseous a few days after treatment but then back to her bouncy, spirited self :) She has 10 more to go and hopefully they will all go as good. Her blood levels are back to where they should be which means the chemo is working. After her 4th treatment they will do another PET -C scan to see how much of the cancer is gone (hopefully all of it:).She still has all her beautiful hair and has every bit of spunk and spirit she always had. We are all so proud of her and find ourselves getting strength through her. Brenna is a true inspiration to all that know her and for those who don't if she touches your life in some small way then she will inspire you as well. Thank you all again for your support and thoughts and prayers.

Hi my name is Sheila, I am Brenna's mom.
Brenna was my first born and my only daughter, needless to say she is my heart and sole. I have shared in her life and would never change a minute of it. Then a day comes when you want to change it but can't, you are totally powerless and have no control .
The day the doctor came into the room and said "Brenna you have a cancerous blood decease" I was immediately sick to my stomach,I thought how wrong this doctor was. This doesn't happen in my family.
After a week, in and out of doctors offices and hospitals it became very real, Hodgkins lymphoma stage 4.
Brenna had been in and out of doctors offices for over a year prior to this diagnosis, even hospitalized at one point. I was so angry . You here it all the time, how a community pulls together to help, I can not believe how this community has pulled together to support us. If any of you have ever had to go through this, you know what this support means. I am not very good at acceptance, never was. However this isn't me anymore it's Brenna..I can only say THANK YOU! Is it enough, not at all ,will it ever be enough, no it won't, but it is all I have, I can never say it enough THANK YOU from my heart.
Thank you all for your support and encouragement!
Thank you all so much...your love and support!!
Please share this post with all your friends !!! Thank you for your support love and prayers!
