Prayers for Marty

As you may know, life has not been easy on Katie Bauer and her family this year. After suffering the loss of both Robert (brother) and Deborah (mother) over the past six months, I was heartbroken to learn that Katie and her sister Vicki's father, Martin, has been hospitalized after suffering a heart attack. 

After being rushed to the hospital, Marty underwent triple bypass surgery. The surgery was a success. However, his heart had already suffered significant damage. The damage to the heart has seriously compromised the function of his liver, kidneys, and other organs. Martin is currently at UPenn hospital and in critical condition, fighting for his life every day.

I am privileged to not only consider Katie to be one of my closest friends, but am also lucky enough to work with her. If anyone knows Katie, she is a true reflection of the entire Bauer family. Despite the difficult times that surround them, the Bauers have always been there to lend a helping hand to those in need.

My intention is to raise as much money as possible to assist the Bauer family with Martin's medical bills as well as other daily living expenses. It is my hope that this financial support will alleviate some of the burden the Bauers are carrying during this difficult time.
