Legal Fund for Alex New

In October, 2015, my son returned from a visit with us with minor scratches on his face because he was helping his Dad build a bonfire on our land. At that point, his mother, who had abandoned our marriage in 2007 and filed divorce , filed criminal charges against me in MS and filed for a protective order in TN, which has prevented me from any contact with my son. Even though I was acquitted by trial of any crime in MS, I lost the rights to see my son completely in TN.

I was not able to see or speak to Alex for almost 3.5 years, since false charges were leveled against us regarding my son. This has effectively kept us in the mire of legal proceedings. The constant need to defend ourselves, and the attempts to in some way see my son again, have now cost us well over $50,000, and untold harm to my son. Not only did they completely take Alex away, but they have sued us for approximately $35,000 in legal fees. This has driven my family into bankruptcy. 

We are asking our friends to help us recover what we have suffered financially. We are asking our friends to help us continue the effort to defend ourselves and to unite with the son whom I love again. We thank you for all of your support.
