DuQuoin Hit-&-Run Victim

Last Saturday night (November 19th), I was walking on the side of the road when a driver slammed into me from behind & sped off. My foot was completely disconnected from my leg bones, & I was sent into emergency surgery that resulted in several rods, screws, & a metal plate reconnecting my bones. I have more surgeries to come & several months of recovery. This incident has obviously put me out of work, & I will be unable to go back for several months. My fiancée has also had to take time off to take care of me. She will have to go back to work next week, but being unexpectedly cut to one income will be extremely hard on us, especially w; the added hospital bills & medications to pay for. Until the driver is identified & we (hopefully) have their insurance to help pay for the added expenses & loss of income, we will only have my fiancée's income to get us through this time. We wanted to avoid making this account, but after our most recent appts with doctors & attorneys, we realize that we're in for a long road before our situation changes. Any help during this time is incredibly appreciated.
