Hello friends, family, and supporters,
I have been blessed with the opportunity to be a part of a wonderful group of girls that is going to Nicaragua in August. We will be in Managua, Nicaragua.
August 2 through the 15 my wonderful leader and friend, Katie, will be leading our group to serve at Casa Havilah, a girls rescue home run by the Buzbees. The Buzbees have gotten very close with Katie over the past years she has served down in Nicaragua. They have graciously opened up their home for us to stay in.
While we are in Nicaragua our team will be painting and doing small projects around the house. We will also be doing devotionals and showing Christ's love to the girls and taff living at Casa Havilah. This will be the first time the house has had a group come to specifically serve them, and I am so excited about it! Our bible study has been praying for them and building relationships with the girls through skype and cards over the past year. I pray this trip will not only transform the lives of the girls at Havilah, but also forever change the lives of myself and the girls on the team. The costs for these two weeks is $1500, and I need $700 by June. As my faith family, I am asking you to partner with me financially and through prayer. Without the funds, I am afraid the trip will not happen. However, it isn't about just donating and forgetting. You will be a part in furthering God's kingdom and seeing His love spread to Casa Havilah. I also ask fro prayer. I have been called to rescue the lost and broken. My heart breaks for the women and children involved in human trafficking and these girls at the rescue home have seen so many horrible things. To be be able to have the opportunity to love on them with God's love and to serve them with everything I have is such a blessing. This is the first step in my fight against human trafficking and I am not going to stop. I would love for you all to be a part of the support community that helps this happen.
