My name is Ruben Medina, a recent graduate of Cal State Dominguez Hills. I was a physics major actually.. but more than just that, a dancer as well.
I stopped dancing because someone told me I was not good enough and that I should be doing something I am good at. I love physics and do not regret it one bit, but I believe in the myself now more than ever. I also believe that I want to finish what I have started by making myself happy. I believe that my goals are big and that money is the only thing standing in my way, although I wish it weren't.
I was recently accepted in the the Hubbard Street Dance Chicago Summer Intensive, and did that intensive with all I had. Now, I have been given a scholarship to train at their studio again for a year to prepare myself for a professional dance career. This is the training I need to get before I move on to auditioning for large companies.
I've made this to try to get the publics support, if possible, to aid in my training fees. Thank you.
