Campaign for Dominique

Hello my name is Dominique Smith I am 31 years old. I have been living with MS for 10 years. MS is also known as Multiple Sclerosis, is a long-lasting disease that affects the brain, spinal cord, and the optic nerves in the eyes. It causes problems with vision, balance, muscles, and other body fuctions. MS is a autoimmue disorder inwhich your body attacks its self, the auto immue system with MS attacks the Myelin sheath (the covering and protection of your nerves) when this happens the myelin is damaged and nerve fiber is exposed, causing slowed or blocked impulses, and can cause damage to the nerve itself.  So far it is unclear why MS develops in some and not in others, and what sucks is that there is no cure. I was first diagnosed with MS at the age of 21.  From the day I was diagnosed my life completely changed. I was a very active outgoing person, who loved to hang out with my friends and family. Now I just stay home and spend majority of my time in bed because of my increased fatigue and severe pain. October 0f 2015 I exhibited a flare up with my MS which caused me to relapse. This relapse caused me to have muscle weakness to my left side. Also, the relapse caused me to have difficulties with walking. By February of 2016 through the grace of God I gained my ability to walk. Although I have regained my ability to walk, my relapse left me with weakness, severe pain, and problems with my gait at times. some days it becomes difficult to perform my everyday duties, its very difficult to spend time with my children and because of the fatigue. I was left with no options for work or social life, MS completely took control over my life. I became deeply in debt because of my medical bills and other  bills  due to not being able to work. I am behind on bills that it has become unbearable for me. I am to the point that my credit cards are maxed. I am unable to obtain employment because of my disability, plus I also was denied SSDI. My family and I are all out of options, sometimes I don't know if we will have a roof over our heads. Im asking for donations to pay for my medical bills, and to help pay for my debt I acquired due to my illness.
