A 2nd Chance At Life

A couple days ago I found a listing for some goats on Craigslist. When I looked at the pictures the owner posted I was shocked. There were 4 Nannies & 4 kids for sale. All of the Nannies were nothing but skin & bone. The main picture is Heidi and you can see the shape she is in. There is another one that is worse off then her. After fighting with the owner over the price for a couple of days, he agreed to sell them to me. Drove the hour to pick them up & it broke my heart. Had to carry 2 of the Nannies from the pen into my trailer but I got them home to the farm & they seemed to know they had been saved. Now the reason for the post, I don't make a ton of money and already have other animals to take care off. It is going to cost me a lot more then I have right now to get them all back on there feet and I will never recoup the $700 I had to pay to get them and Im ok with that. If anyone would care to help out with feed cost & any medical needs it would be greatly appreciated. All though I am new to raising goats, I was raised on a Farm/Ranch and have an Ag degree. I just couldnt let these guys suffer any longer. No matter if I can raise a penny or even a hundred, these Nannies will live out the rest of their lives on this farm.
