DAVES DRY OCTOBER
DONATE A DAYS RATE FOR A GOOD CAUSE.
Hi to all my friends. I've decided to partake in"Stoptober", which if you're not aware of involves a month of abstinence from alcohol for charity. As many of you are probably aware, my good friend Pete Gardiner's son Oli is gravely Ill with a brain tumour, and despite all the best attempts from doctors in this country he now requires treatment which is only available in Austria to stand any chance of pulling through this. The cost of this, as you'd imagine, is vast and I would ask you all to dig deep in your pockets to help Pete and his family. You can help by sponsoring me at go fund me and all your contributions will help to giving Oli the life he so richly deserves. Thanks!
A few words from Pete.
We need to raise funds to give our 12 year old son Ollie the treatment he needs to save
his life. He was diagnosed with a brain tumour on the 19th May 2015. He underwent an 8 hour operation where only half could be removed and following this he lost the ability to speak, swallow, stand, walk or use his right hand. He has had to relearn all of these
things. He underwent a further 2 brain operations, followed by 3 cycles of chemo, 34 sessions of radiotherapy and then a further 7 cycles of chemo. He maintained a positive cheerful and polite manner throughout and the nurses would argue over who got to care for him. We had started to dare to believe we had beaten cancer, when we got the devastating news that he had badly relapsed. His condition is now traditionally
considered incurable, but there is a new treatment, only available abroad. He faces a grueling year, but this is his only hope. Ollie has come through so much and is so loved. Please help us save him.
A few words from Ed.
Please help us to raise some money for Pete and Ollie. We earn a pretty good living and I think most of us can afford to donate a days rate to a good cause. Please dig deep.
Also I need your help to keep an eye on Dave!
Many thanks in advance.
Ps: Please could you all share this on your facebook pages.
