Main Street Memorial for Beverly

Many of us are familiar with the sweet lady who was homeless and spent her days and nights on the bench near the 99 Cent Store on Main Street in Corona. She never took or asked for anything and never bothered anyone. Rain or shine, she was peacefully sitting on the bench reading her bible. We do not know her name, nor do we know her history. But we do know that she deserves a proper burial and/or memorial. Let us come together as a community and honor the sweet lady that we would see as we went about our daily tasks.
Update 1: We have contacted the coroners office and are the first person on call for any updates regarding Beverly. We have also contacted The Press Enterprise and are expecting to have a short news artical on info and reliabilty of this GoFund me. Thanks for all the donations and kind words!

Update 3: Just an update to hopefully, fulfill those that are leery about this gofund me account. One, this was started by my mother, grandfather, and I. 3 generations of Corona residents. We are in no way trying to scam or take peoples money. This is certainly 100% all towards any expenses for a possible service and/or memorial for Beverly. If you have any doubt, you are more than welcome to contact me, Jacob Acebedo, on my phone (951) [phone redacted] or email [email redacted]. I will do my best to get back to you ASAP. Two, the limit was lowered to $7,500 because of many believing this is a scam. I personally set the goal to $15,000 because i had very high hopes for this donation, but with false allegations, i want to lower it to show this is real and we are not trying to scam anyone. I really hope this can help a little when it comes to reliabilty of this donation. Once again anyone is free to contact me at anytime. Thanks.
Update 4: We have contacted the Walker Funeral Home and Greg Walker told us, one; that they are not handling the funeral or any arrangements as of right now, and two; that no one has contacted them to make any type of arrangements for Beverly.
Update 5: We contacted Corona Regional and will be trying to join as a co force in our efforts to raise money for a proper ceremony through Thomas Miller Mortuary for Beverly, as well as, a memorial with the city of corona. Thank you for the recent apologies to my family and I, it means more than anything we can show. Its a blessing to see that our community has raised over 1k for Beverly. Once again, we will post an itemized account so everyone can see exactly where your donations are going! Thanks!
Update 6: We have confirmed that Thomas Miller Motruary will have a viewing and service for LaVerne. October 12, 2016 they will hold a visitation from 11:00am-12:00pm, and immediately following will be a service at 12:00pm. All of the funds raised from this campaign will go directly to Thomas Miller Mortuary. Thank you again for everyone that has donated!
