Fresh Fruit & Veggies at BAK!

Greetings to all B.A. Kennedy Stakeholders! Thank you for taking the time to read this important announcement. B.A. Kennedy did not receive the USDA Fresh Fruit & Vegetable grant for the 2016-2017 school year. This is not due to something that was done wrong, but rather an increase in Wisconsin schools applying for the grant as well as data regarding free and reduced percentages for BAK. We still believe in the importance of introducing good, healthy snacks into the routines of our students. We have seen the benefits, and we want to continue to offer this opportunity. Two benefits we have observed are in students' ability to simply recognize healthy choices, as well as the increase in healthy options students are eating at lunch. We are asking for your help! If you are looking to make a contribution that will better the lives of 275 elementary students, we would appreciate any financial donation that you feel comfortable making. If we can reach our goal, we can provide a fresh fruit and vegetable snack for all classrooms 3 times per week for the school year! Thank you for your continued support of B.A. Kennedy.
