Once again Culture City has to move! Our bad real-estate luck is holding steady and our current production location is being sold out from underneath us (again!). Don’t fret! We’ve found a new home on St. Clair West, but three moves in one year has taken its toll and we need some help with the funds to get our new location up to par so we can get moved in. The good news is that the new location will allow us to meet the growing demand for our products and once we’re settled we will be opening the doors to the public to offer classes and workshops to bring the delicious art and science of fermented foods to the people of Toronto.
Culture City is an award winning, Toronto based fine fermented foods company founded by Damon Dewsbury. Damon is trained as a mycologist and knows the ins and outs of fermenting like no one else. With Damon (AKA The Mad Scientist Foodie) at the helm and Paul Carter adding his recipe design magic, Culture City is breaking down food barriers offering non-Soy Tempeh such as Chickpea, Buckwheat-Oat-Sunflower and Black Bean, along with Fermented Mustards, Achaars, Natto, non-Soy Sauce, non-Soy Tamari, Vegan Chorizo, Sauerkraut, Vegan Kimchi and non-Soy Miso.
Culture City strives to use locally sourced, natural and organic products whenever possible and minimize our environmental impact in every way we can (Damon can be seen hauling the Culture City trailer behind his bike across the city). We are dedicated to creating new and exciting products, including vegan, soy free and gluten free products, while always keeping taste at the top of our priorities.

Culture City products are also available at Noah’s Natural Foods, OMG on the Park, Karma Co-op, The West End Food Co-op Store, and 4 Life Naturals. Our products have been served by many area restaurants and catering companies including Lansdowne Brewery, BOLT Fresh Bar and the world famous Canoe.
