People's Library & Literacy Center

For the last 9 months Frances and I have been self funding the book drive's costs, supplies, and storage POD to store all our donations, and are now seeking a more permenent location.

We will be attempting to transition over to more of a long term private community ran "People's library" & Literacy Center providing we can obtain funding.

We are still actively seeking funding, as well as seeking private benefactors, other charities / organization who would like to partner/work with us to establish a community literacy center.

Books will continue to be free to those who want them; as is part of our roots from the Hurricane Sandy Bookdrive, but we are also looking to host:

1)reading/story time sessions for children
2)creative writing session
3)resume creation assistance
4)computer access
5)online research assistance

Our over all goal is to fill the gapping hole being left in our community of Rockaway with the loss of the libraries; still unknown when they will return.
