Help Gaza child psychiatrist to UBC conf

I hope you'll consider participating in raising a relatively small amount of funds to enable Dr. Sami Owaida, MD, from the Gaza Community Mental Health Programme, the only child and adolescent psychiatrist for a chronically traumatized population of ~1.5 million to come to a conference in June at the University of British Columbia.
Dr. Adele Diamond, a member of our Ahavat Olam Synagogue and Canada Research Chair Professor of Developmental Congnitive Neuroscience in UBC's School of Psychiatry at UBC, has asked for help raising about $2,400 for travel costs, etc, for Dr. Owaida. Our hope is to raise the funds from members of the Jewish and Muslim communities. Adele has been successful in raising about $1,000. I am helping raise the rest.
