Help Michael Weidemann

Michael Weidemann was ticketed for disorderly conduct after a misunderstanding at Carroll University, Tuesday, April 16, 2013. He had been seen with a rifle-like gun near the Tennis Courts and was spotted by individuals who contacted the police. However, after he was obtained by police (and fully cooperated with them), it was found that the gun he was carrying was actually a non-lethal airsoft gun that he had found in a garbage; he was simply returning to his apartment with it with intent to give/sell it to his friend. After his public interview on TMJ 4, he told his story and apologized for the incident.
As a student, I very much appreciate how quickly the Waukesha Police Department and Carroll Campus safety reacted to protect our students (they did a fantastic job), if these was an actual shooting, we were well prepared and taken care of. However, this poor guy has been ticketed for a misunderstanding, and based on the cooperation and his kind apology, I think it would be a great gesture if we paid for his ticket.

I do not know how much disorderly conduct tickets typically cost, however, given the embarrassment of what he went through on Tuesday and how cooperative and honestly apologetic he was, I think he certainly deserves something.
