Family expenses through my surgery

My name is Andrew, I'm 33 and have epilepsy.  Since the age of 14 I have had seizures, mostly uncontrolled and very harmful.  There has been many times where I have had multiple seizures a day, been in and out of hospitals, and even been very close to death.  I have 2 children, a son 7, and daughter 5 months old. 

It has been determined by a epilepsy specialist I am at too high risk to not have surgery, therefore after 3 years of testing I am set to have a piece of my right temporal lobe removed.  There is no cure for epilepsy, only treatments with drugs which don't always work for me, so this surgery is my last hope of living a semi-normal life.  My body will never be in perfect health again, but taking away the seizures will afford me the opportunity to take my son fishing, see my daughter marry one day, work to be able to provide for my family and help pay my childrens education later in life.  Unfortunately due to the enormous strain on my body from the seizures, especially my back being bad enough that I can't hold my daughter, I have been unable to work the last few years, even walking to do groceries is painful.  I have nothing to be able to have my wife at my side during this surgery.  I live in Chelmsford, Ontario and the surgery can only be done in Toronto, Ontario.  I will have to be there at least a week, which means accomidations for my wife for that period of time, and it is expensive.  I want nothing more than to have my loving wife at my side before and after this surgery, instead of being alone.  It is scheduled for October 6th.  Please, I am asking for help to have my wife by my side when I awaken from this nervewrecking surgery, so I can see a familiar face instead of a stranger.  The testing itself has been hard to do by myself, with no familiar face around.  I don't want to and can't do it alone again.
