Help Us Continue Our Journey

Donation protected
Hello, we are Ceren and Jonathan. We are traveling through LA on a journey from an eco village that we were working at in southern Oregon. We are hoping to utilize this awesome platform to raise funds to fix our car and continue adventuring together. We plan to make it to the east coast before winter and plan out our life together along the way.

Ceren and I met in LA a few months ago. We fell in love and spent every day together for a month. We then decided to quit our jobs, escape the LA hustle, and begin traveling together. The first place we traveled to was an eco-village in early stage development and we stayed there 5 weeks helping to build housing for the future residents of the site. We found this awesome opportunity through the Tribe Of Awakening Sovereignty, which is a network of open, beyond sustainable, co-governed communities, new paradigm nonprofits, cooperative businesses, sovereign beings and micro nations. It has been a blessing and an adventure to serve with this community and we look forward to future collaborations with the Tribe, but we felt it was time for us to continue our travels and get to know each other better. Since leaving the camp, we have utilized the Couchsurfing app to travel to Portland, Boise, Salt Lake City, Las Vegas and now back to LA to tie up loose ends as we have decided to continue our journey together.

After arriving in LA, we began having issues with our brakes and our front right tire began to develop a slow leak and we realized its time to replace the front tires. The car also needs new brake pads and it looks like we need to replace the rotors as well. We need to get these problems fixed! We have humble funding that is rationed out to allow us to continue our trip together but with these new expenses and unexpected car troubles, we are sort of stranded here in LA. Hopefully we can find temporary work from some aligned souls while we figure this out and if there is a spot we can pitch our tent while working, we will be so stoked! It would be even more amazing if all of you beautiful love beings decided to help us out and we thought it was worth a shot! Now a little bit more about us... Forgive us while we slip into 3rd person.

Ceren is a very talented Turkish ballet and contemporary dancer. She also teaches dance back in Turkey and she has been in the US for about a year. She was finally forced to leave her country because of the violence and dramatic events that have happened there during recent years. (this years attempted coo has affected her family and the whole country) Now she is living here in the US as an immigrant. Ceren has a dream that through this journey she will gain insight into the sociological and psychological differences between varying cultures and convert her observations into a future dance project.

Jonathan is an Oregon native who has worked many jobs in his life such as farm work, carpentry, horticulture, mycology, sales, culinary, hotel desk management etc. His last job in Babylon was Jambo Superfoods, where he created, sold, and delivered Cannabis Cup winning products known as "the world's healthiest Edibles" all throughout Los Angeles and southern California. His latest project was developing the eco village which was previously mentioned as he is an ambassador for the Tribe Of Awakening Sovereignty. If you want to learn more you can visit the website.

We are grateful for all of the amazing people who have helped us and shared their lives with us during our short travels together. If we have learned one thing about humanity while surfing together, it is this: People are inherently good. When trust is extended to a complete stranger, beautiful and uplifting events can occur. We hope that we can find continued support though this platform. Thank you for reading this and thank you for your consideration!

PS: I read somewhere that the best way to know if you should marry someone is to travel together for 6 months. If, by the end of the trip you still love each other, you should get married…

Love is unconditional!
