Help Mary Heinz battle Cancer

Donation protected
In January 2016, Mary began having stomach pain while and after eating. She went to see her doctor, which began several months of doctor visits, ultrasounds, and multiple scans and x-rays. After several months without any answers, she was diagnosed in August with Stage 4 Metastatic Breast Cancer. Mary initially had breast cancer in 2004, which over time metastasized to several spots in her bones and two small spots in her lungs. Metastatic Breast Cancer has no cure, so Mary will need treatment for the rest of her life.
The first of many treatment plans will involve two pills taken daily, but unfortunately after 20 months her body will become immune to these pills so the doctors will need to switch to a different treatment plan until those stop working, and this cycle will continue. She will also need a monthly shot to keep her bones strong along with body scans and blood work every few months to ensure the treatment is working.
Due to the symptoms of the cancer and the medicine she is taking, Mary has recently stopped working and is on short term disability. She is trying to rest to keep her body strong and enjoy time with family and friends, including her 6 grandchildren.
Mary is getting treatment at the Theda Clark Regional Cancer Center in Appleton, WI. This page has been set-up to help Mary pay for the ongoing expenses of gas, lodging and medical bills during her ongoing treatment. Thank you for supporting Mary, we will try to post periodic updates on this page as we have new information to share.
