Miracle Match

Our friends Delores and Bill are facing a difficult road with health and financial challenges ahead. They met by chance in April 2015, and quickly fell in love. Bill had Stage 5 Kidney disease at that time and had recently been put on the donor list, with no luck. Delores knew it was a long shot, but she wanted to see if she was a match. In December 2015, Delores received the news that she was a match and was eligible to give Bill the kidney that could save his life!
The recovery will be a challenge and doctors cannot predict how much time Delores will be out of work. While insurance covers most of the medical expenses, and TDI will cover some of the lost income, it does not cover the the entire loss of income that they will experience. The last thing the couple needs while trying to recover physically is financial stress. On September 26, Bill will receive a kidney from Delores and an opportunity for a renewed chance at life.
