Help Improve Sister Penelope’s Hearing
Sister Penelope is a Catholic nun who brings God and His love to those in need through her vocation at the newly-founded community Servants of the Cross; now she is the one in need. Having had severe hearing loss since childhood, Sister Penelope needs hearing aids to hear from the loudest of noises to the quietest whisper of a child. Her nine years old hearing aids are failing and need to be replaced. Until having a paying job position or receiving sufficient grant from the community, the sisters of the Servants of the Cross rely on donations for their personal needs. We are seeking your generous contribution to provide two new hearing aids and some tools for charity for Sister Penelope so that she can effectively continue her vocation and serve other people.
On September 15, 2015, Sister Penelope made her First Promises and became a member of the Servants of the Cross. She sums up her experience in one word: Transformational. She states that, “the Lord continues His powerful work in me. I am grateful for my vocation within the Companions family and I feel free and blessed.”
Sister Penelope is grateful to all who help her and considers the generosity of people to be an extension of God’s love. As a giving person, she is humbled by the donation of others. She states, “Oh, the Lord has led me. And He has been taking care of me. And my joy would be complete if you could be part of what I am doing for our Heavenly Father.”
