Brestnitsa Village, Bulgaria
Providing Internet Access, Education and assistance to Brestnitsa
Project Splash is about bringing short term relief and long term change to this small deprived village of almost 200 people. With just one cold water tap for the whole village and the only warmth in the winter coming from antiquated wood burning stoves when temperatures can reach -15 degrees these people suffer but don't complain. Less than 3 hours flying time from the UK and within the EU there is a village that is suffering extreme hardships.
Sometimes living 12 to a very small room with up to 7 children in the same bed they scrape a living from the local woodland and countryside.
I will be raising £2000 to buy two computers, have a broadband cable installed, pay for one years access and provide some local tuition. Plus also buy them a few pigs for their new pig farm so their children will not starve next winter.
Please help bring about long lasting change for these people by contributing to this project and using your own network to bring attention to the plight of these very poor people.
We can bring about major change with a little effort that will not only change these peoples lives for the better but empower all those who help.
Let's not sit back passively, shake our heads and tut but take action and create a better future.
