help keep seniors socially active


Hello friends. I would like to graciously request a few moments of your time to tell you about a wonderful organization that is in urgent need of help.

The Inglewood Silver Threads Association is a non profit seniors activity centre established in 1975.  It provides its' members with a variety of actvities to help keep them socially, mentally and phsyically healthy and active.  There are often many challenges that face our eldery citizens today, and Silver Threads provides many services to its members they may otherwise not have access to. Services such as Bingo, weekly Tea & Chat lunches, monthly pot luck lunch, day trips outside of the city, birthday celebrations, cakes and cards, get well and sympathy cards,  exercise classes multiple times a week, games, crafts and craft supplies, baking and baking supplies, seasonal decorations and more.

Unfortunately, the last 3 years have seen our main source of funding reduced greatly. Numerous grant applications have been denied, and the situation has turned dire as many of the programs will be at risk as early as November. So now we most humbly turn to you in asking for help.  If we can achieve our goal listed above, it will be enough for at least the next 5 years. So please, spread the word! Just a small $5 donation will go a long way; and many many small donations will quickly add up! Please help us stay open for another 40 years. Who knows? By then, you may even want to become a member!
